5/23/05 : I LIVE. No, really, I swear. xP

Mood: VERY HYPER! XD Music: "LIGHT" by w-inds Manga: Ouran High School Host Club vol. 6 Show: Ep. 7 of Ouran High School Host Club Ladies and gentlemen, my life is now complete. Or completely pathetic... whichever. xD I just spend an UNGODLY amount of my own cash on nothing more than... um... eye candy. But it's the RAREST of the RARE kind of eye candy, the kind that I thought up until today that I had no hope of seeing. Let me explain in full: Ever since I saw on the official Tenimyu site that Dream Live 3 was scheduled, I was wishing with all my sad little heart that I could get my hands on (or at least SEE) the photosets for Shirota Yuu and Katou Kazuki. (Yes, my obsession has reached frightening levels.) Of course, you can only buy them at the event, and hardly anyone sells theirs until months and months later, if even then for the popular photosets. Bidding on the original cast photosets that sometimes show up on eBay is psychotic. ^^; So imagine my astonishment when I found out that a member on the LJ comm for Tenimyu was offering to purchase them for us when she went to Dream Live. ... Then imagine my chagrin when I realized that, due to my crazy schedule this semester, I was late in finding out and discovered this mere hours after she stopped taking orders. This was all about two months ago, and words cannot describe my anguish. Finally, I decided just to hope that I'd see the scans. Unfortunately, this kind girl's scan comm, where she posts stuff that is impossible to get if you don't live in Japan, just closed due to too many people breaking the rules. Imagine my agony; it was painful. T.T Anyway, as of not even ONE HOUR AGO, she put some extras up on sale on the same comm!! I just had this funny feeling like I should stay up late tonight, and lo and behold, I was right! And now my friend and I are actually going to get our photosets, which in our wildest dreams we never thought would happen, plus a few extras that I decided to buy as well! ... The only thing is that there's no way I'm telling anyone what I spent on them. >.> It's... um... embarassing. In any case, my life is complete. :D I can die happy now. Though in related news... I should really be getting a job so I can justify all this anime-related spending. >.> Uh... yeah... I'll have to look into that. Unless my mom still wants to pay me for working on my favorite local theatre company's new musical with her. That might cover some of this. xD; Though I'm still NEVER telling what I paid for the photosets... Changing subjects, I AM working on my website! This is both good news and bad news, in my opinion. The good news is that the new layouts should be up in a matter of days. Unfortunately, it's taking longer than I had hoped. So the bad news is that even though I expected to be involved in LJ and ff.net and all my other favorite comms again by this time, I can't right now, because otherwise none of this will EVER get accomplished. So for anyone out there waiting for fics or even just to hear from me, I'm SO sorry! I'll be back in full-fledged action very soon! Promise! (In other squee-related news, I saw Les Mis TWICE this past week! *squeal* Ahhh, it was awesome! xD I'd forgotten how in love I am with that musical. It's the best ever! And Randall Keith, the actor who played Jean Valjean, was outstanding. Gaah, I love Les Mis... Plus for one night, I had the BEST SEAT in the whole gigantic theater! That's right, front row and center! xD) See all you visitors VERY soon, I hope!

4/16/05 : About Moving in Slow Motion XP;

XDDD; Right??? Yeah, well, whether or not that is the case, I apologize to all who may care for my Internet/anime fandom absence for these past few months. I don't quite know why, but this semester is more hectic than I first assumed. In any case, it's almost over, and VERY SOON these web sites will be going through some major changes. *points to new blog layout as example* Especially, of course, my baby, the PoT fansite. So keep an eye on The Seven Lines, everyone! In other news, I can type in Japanese on my computer now. So, just because I CAN... はじめまして。カトリナ・ベンダーです。どおぞ、よろしく。 So, I just introduced myself. In really poor Japanese. With only hiragana instead of proper kanji. XP *shoots herself* Oh, well, I'm only a first-year Japanese student, after all. XD;;; Though my Japanese class is one of the main reasons I'm so busy. *sighs* Ah, well, it's all good. After all, learning any language is fun, right? Well, I need to go work on these poor, dead websites, so I'm off! Perhaps I shall have more fangirly updates (and there is cause for MUCH in the way of fangirly updates! really!) when I am less pathetic. And less afraid of my sites becoming rotting carcasses in the alternate reality that is the Internet. xD Later, everyone!

3/2/06 : On Fandom, Doujinshi, TSL, and Why College Sometimes Sucks XD

Mood: Ambitious (I think...) Music: "Flaming Ice" by Kazuki Kato Manga: Host Club vol. 5 Anime: Loveless vol. 1 So. Are you wondering why I disappeared for about two weeks?? (Well, here @ TSL, longer than two weeks... O_o) Of course you are. Of course everyone wants to hear about my sad life. </pitiful attempt to garner sympathy> Well, long story short, I've been running around the past few weeks writing an honors paper and studying for a few tests. Anyway, no one cares, so let's move on to important things, shall we? XD First off, about The Seven Lines... It's alive and kicking! I swear! O_x *pokes her site with a stick* See, it moved! XD In all seriousness, though, TSL will have some significant updates asap. So keep your eyes peeled! I should be adding some new sections to my PoT site, and hopefully at some point I might even be able to update n.e.p.h.i.l.i.m. (I hope.) But I will definitely be updating the PoT site. So thank you to all TSL visitors these past few weeks! Oh, and I did want to mention... I've started collecting PoT doujinshi. XD Yes, I'm at a brand new level of fandom geekiness. So in the interest of spreading the fandom love, I will be adding a doujinshi section to TSL. It might only be a doujinshi review section at first, to conserve web space, but we'll see how it goes. I DO know that I won't be able to provide you people with English translations, seeing as how I just starting learning Japanese. >.> *is loser* But you'll get to see pretty pictures, right? Right??? XDDD In other news... I AM DYING OF ANTICIPATION. I ordered the Hyoutei Tenimyu DVD off of nippon-export.com in January, and they STILL haven't shipped it. O__O I'm starting to worry, actually. They haven't charged me, but... I WANT IT! Apparently the site is swamped with orders, though. I can only hope mine won't be lost in the shuffle. -_- Despite the DVD not having come, however, I am SO a Shirota Yuu (Tezuka in Hyouteimyu) and Kazuki Kato (Atobe) fangirl already. I bought Shirota's solo album off of YesAsia.com, and it ROCKS. The man can SING. <3 (Note that my avatar is based on a scan from said CD.) Oh, and my friend bought Kazuki's, and it's gorgeous too. She also bought his photo album. XD We both already have the Hyoutei Tenimyu soundtrack, but these albums were more than worth it. I was pleasantly surprised. *nods* Oh, yeah, my friends and I got to test drive our Prince of Tennis cosplay uniforms last weekend! We went to our local Japanese cultural festival in them. (Where we stuck out like sore thumbs. XD But hey, we weren't the ONLY cosplayers! Really!) All things considered, though, I'm way more excited to be going to Anime Expo this summer. Whoo! *dances* And my final piece of news? I SO WON A PoT CONTEST. Huzzah! XD I've finally broken my crappy contest track record for the past year. It was a Valentine's Day contest @ the tenipuri community on LiveJournal. I entered a Valentine's Inui Juice in the Creative Interpretation Category! XD My sis helped me a ton, and it was amazing. So, yeah. I'm happy. <3 <3 <3 Well, there's the big, long, useless update. But I should get cracking on TSL! *scurries off* Thanks for visiting my site, everyone! ^.^

1/22/06 : Yay, college! *sarcasm*

Mood: Halfway Between Busy and Bored Music: Go! Go! Meganes (PoT) Manga: Shojo Beat (February 2006 issue) Anime: Still the Hyoutei Arc (PoT) So. I'm back in my dorm for the brand new semester at college. Whoop-dee-doo. *does the happy dance of sarcasm* Actually, as far as college semesters go, this one won't be so bad. My classes look like they'll actually be interesting for a change (except for Chemistry, of course, but we expect nothing from the sciences! XD). Plus, I'm not doing quite as many hours as I was last semester. So if all goes well, I'll have more time to work on my web site and fanfics and all that jazz. *crosses fingers* Speaking of fanfics, I'm still trying to settle on a new project for my next story. I have several multi-chapter ideas, but I'm kind of hesitant to pick one. O_o Sorry to any of you out there waiting impatiently for a WICBY sequel! (That's probably... what? Three people? Lol! But I adore you all! XD *smothers her loving readers with hugs and glomping*) Anyway, I guess I'll make the official word be as follows... No huge projects until February at the earliest. In the meantime, I'll try my hand at some one-shots and maybe a smaller multi-chapter fic about Gakuto and Yuushi. (Yes, you heard me right! I adore the Naughty Pair, and so should you all. XD) In other news... This web site needs some new life breathed into it. >.> In that spirit, I'll be attempting to start up some new sections over @ TSL, so keep an eye out. I also have two other PoT bromides to add to the image gallery there. And as for my other sites, we'll see... O_o Man, it's been forever since I worked on my manga NEPHILIM. It's not like I've abandoned it by any means, but... Well, college sucks. Lol. On a final note, I saw the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical." It's not like it's a work of genius... One glance at the premise could tell you that! But I found myself laughing over and over again at how they portrayed theater people. This is because I worked with them constantly in my high school's drama department... And I assure you, it's all true! XD And of course the music was the usual over-produced, pre-packaged, fluffy preteen pop, but it was fun to listen to anyway. 1/6/06 : On Losers (i.e. me) and Other Stuff No One Cares About XD

Mood: Busier Than a Crazed Chipmunk Music: "Baby Maybe" by w-inds Manga: High School Host Club vol. 4 Show: The Hyoutei Arc (PoT) Yes. That's right. I'm a LOSER. Why? Well, obviously because I haven't been updating my site nearly enough. *sighs* It's a long, pitiful story, full of things no one cares about, but here's a brief summary... > School sucks, but I passed. Final exams suck too, but hey, I aced them, so it's cool. Final papers also suck, but at least they're done. > Finishing a 25 chapter-long fanfic doesn't suck. It, did, however, devour all my non-existant free time. > Christmas rocks, as does getting to go to Disneyland. Unfortunately, these things mean frantic purchasing of gifts and being away from my computer. (i.e. Bllaaarrrghhhhh!) Well, you get the picture, so enough of that. :P No one cares, least of all me. The real point here is that I'm a loser, but I DID try. *weeps for her incompetence* On a brighter note, I got some seriously awesome things for Christmas. Here's a quick list... (Bear in mind I bought most of it for myself, since my parents don't care to shop for anime. So I asked for money instead! XD) - Echizen Ryoma's new CD 'Progress' (Which ROCKS.) - The 6th PoT Bromide set, which is now posted @ TSL. - Manga (Merupuri 3, Host Club 4, PoT 11, etc.) - 'System of Alive,' a w-inds CD (i.e. J-pop, and it's AMAZING.) - An Oishi hand puppet and an Oishi plushie! <3 - The world's cutest Sanrio purse (Sugarbunnies! How cute is that?) - A Tezuka/Captain Yamato key chain - Set of 50 PoT settai sketches (for drawing and such!) - The world's coolest boots from Hot Topic (for 50% off!!) - The Chronicles of Narnia and RENT soundtracks - Blah, blah, etc. etc. My sister also got the Hyoutei Tenimyu (PoT musical) CD, and it is THE COOLEST THING EVER. ... Good grief, I love Hyoutei. My friends and I are plotting on how to get the DVD, but hey, the CD rocks too. The guy who plays Atobe is a dream come true, and don't even get me started on Yuushi and Gakuto. *dies* Anyway, before I get too off-track, just let me say that TSL is alive and kicking, and it will be updated more frequently this upcoming semester. (I think.) I scheduled my classes much better this time, so I will be doing as much productive slacking-off online as possible. Hope you're all looking forward to that! XD Well, see you all around! *waves* (Oh, and as you can see by the avatar, I SO got my Seigaku cosplay uniform. Oh yes. XD I also got the most drastic haircut I've had in my entire life. 11/16/05 : Brand New Layouts @ FSC! XD

Mood: Productive Music: "You Got Game" from PoT Manga: Shojo Beat December Issue Show: Tenimyu (The Original, y'all! XD) Alrighty then! :D Now that I'm out of the woods for a little while, school-wise, I figured it was time to update my beloved sites. So here we have a brand new blog layout, featuring moi (don't I look like a dweeb??? XD), along with a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW layout for The Seven Lines! So check it out, everyone! I tried to make both layouts much more functional this time around. Hopefully, they're also nice to look at as well. ... They're also much more, well, BLACK. I don't think that was intentional, but let's just go with it, shall we? >.> Hey, I can pretend I know what I'm doing! ^^; By the way, I'm VERY psyched, because I should be getting my very own Seigaku cosplay uniform this week. I ordered one for my sister off of ebay, and it was FANTABULOUS (or Pontabulous, as the case may be :P). So of course all my friends wanted one too, and so then I ordered theirs. And... now I'm finally getting mine! Whoo! XD Haha, patience is everything... not that I'd know.... :P Anyway, we're going to wear them to Anime Expo this coming summer (yes, we planned WAY too far ahead, but it's fun). So if any of you out there are going this year, you may see four silly girls dressed in PoT uniforms running around like hyper maniacs. That'll be me and my friends. ^_^; I also finally got my hands on the Tezuka vampire bromide. So that'll be in my PoT image gallery at some point, maybe along with some other stuff... And I'm also working like a maniac on my PoT fic, which should be done sometime in the next few weeks. And after that... Who knows what I'll do? XD But it should be interesting, because my semester will be over shortly and I have a month long vacation. So keep an eye on FSC in the coming weeks, everyone! 11/9/05 : In Memory of YD

Mood: Pretty darned sad Music: "Crying Sky " by Echizen Ryoma from PoT Manga: Merupuri vol. 2 Show: Tenimyu Dream Live 1st Well, today, I am officially depressed. Which I hardly ever am. (Like, as people who know me can honestly say, NEVER. And I usually don't web-rant either, but this time, I'm making an exception.) I just found out that Youthful Days, the all-around best PoT site on the Internet, was taken offline today. Due to a bunch of jerks, including one obnoxious brat in particular. This REALLY saddens me. I have no words to express it, actually. It may sound like a trivial thing, like it's not my concern and I shouldn't even care, but I do. I care a ton. PoT is my favorite fandom of all time, and when people start hurting that fandom, it hurts me. The staff @ YD was always so amazingly dedicated. I know my site will never be that extensive, or that frequently updated. (And yet they had to take it down because some BRAT complained about a lack of updates! What a @#%*(@^*@%*!@.... *insert long censor bleep here*) And so... I'm just really grateful to them, that they put so much time into the site while it was still here. The site was on my IE favorites, even, and I visited it every single day. And so... I'm really sad right now. It reminds me all too much of when Tsubame Gaeshi was taken offline. I was really glad to find that Datenshi-Blue opened up a new site afterwards, and I love Ore-SaMagazine a ton. But I still miss Tsubame Gaeshi sometimes. And that site, too, was taken down because of these same kind of retarded web hecklers who apparently have nothing better to do than complain. Honestly, some part of me is getting sick and tired of all the teeny boppers who think they're entitled to all the free anime music in the world. I'm not saying I've never sampled anime mp3s, but I actually go and buy the CDs off of yesasia.com. They could at least try doing the same once in awhile. Yeesh. >.> And so... right now I'm really sad. For the PoT fandom, and how its light seems to be fading a bit. I really don't want to let that happen. Hopefully, maybe I can in some small way help keep the PoT love alive and keep posting stuff. I hope so. Because everything in me wants PoT to continue. I mean, it ranked number 18 on the Top 100 Most Beloved Anime of All Time list, the one that was posted on Anime News Network recently. And just to give you an idea of what this means, it beat out Sailor Moon, Ruroni Kenshin, InuYasha, Card Captor Sakura, Evangelion, Pokemon... I mean, it DESERVES a bigger following here in America. And the current English-speaking PoT fandom is awesome, but I can't help noticing that they're growing a bit weary of a series they've been so dedicated to for years. I'm just a newbie, so I haven't experienced that yet, and it's a bit disheartening. Well, now that I think about it, that last paragraph doesn't really pertain to the shutting down of YD, but I can't help expressing a few of my worries about the PoT fandom in general. Anyway, I'll try to post something again soon, and I promise it'll be of a more cheery nature next time. ^_^;

9/22/05 : The insanity! The madness! The lack of updates!

Mood: Random Music: "Awaken" by Natalie Grant Manga: Prince of Tennis vol. 9! Whoo! XD Anime: "Atobe's Present" from the PoT movie Err.... yeah.... I'm still "mada mada dane." Oops. My bad. I'm working really hard on the WICBY fic, and college is still a little bit crazy until next week, when my first round of papers and exams finally ends. Expect lots more updates then. ^___^ In other news, I AM PSYCHED!! Why, you ask? Because for one thing, I found the "Atobe's Present" short in my local comic book shop, subtitled and EVERYTHING!! Gaaahhh! The insanity! It's beautiful. No, seriously, it's BEAUTIFUL. All PoT fans MUST see it. End of story. (There are apparently some minor problems with my disc, but after I find out if I can get it exchanged, I'll be capping it for all you out there who still don't have a copy of the glorious insanity. So check The Seven Lines in the coming weeks. ^__^) I'm also psyched because... *dun dun da DUN!* I finally got my mom to finalize my order on yesasia.com. Which means that I am finally getting Ryoma's CD SR Samurai and Fuji's CD Eyes. (Yes, I know, they're both quite old, but I don't actually own them yet and I want to, because Minagawa Junko and Kaida Yuki are, like, my idols...). But guess what I'm also getting? That's right! I'm getting the Prince of Tennis Bromide Set no. 5! So envy me! XD Lol, I'm just kidding. Besides, there's no reason to envy me... as soon as I get them, I'll post them in the gallery @ The Seven Lines for your viewing pleasure! But you better believe I'm excited. Well, that's all on the home front! I'll update again as soon as I can! *waves* (On the avatar... um... lol!!! XDDD It's my sister's kitty Atobe plushie and my kitty Tezuka plushie. It's... kind of a long story. But I thought it was adorable. XD)

Mood: Spastic Music: "STAND UP " from PoT Manga: Ohran High School Host Club vol. 1 Anime: Ep. 65 from PoT Oh, the madness! The madness! XD Yes, I am aware that fsc has been decidedly "mada mada dane" with updates lately. This has to do with a few factors... 1) College professors are randomly psycho and assign lots of homework due at the same time. (i.e. @#$! !#%$& #@$$^%....) 2) My dorm computer, which had all these mysterrrrrious problems, FINALLY got completely fixed this morning and now reads Internet script correctly. O_o Who knew that was the problem? Oi. 3) My fanfic, which I have affectionately given the acronym "WICBY," has been consuming my tiny amounts of free time. So, yes, I suck, but it's not my fault! Really! >_< Well, it's not completely my fault, anyway. In any event, I'll get on it and upload some stuff today, so hopefully that makes up for my negligence. In other news, inspired by the brilliant PoT cracksite done by sarahofcroydon @ lj, I give you a brand spanking new IsYamato-BuchouAPerve?? icon. Isn't it fantabulous? XDDD (I love Yamato-buchou. Really. I do. I just... wonder about him sometimes. Lol.)

9/4/05 : Happy late birthday to me! XD

Mood: Warm and fuzzy :3 Music: "my lover" from PoT Manga: Prince of Tennis vol. 8 Anime: Ep. 115 from PoT Sorry I didn't update the site until today, everyone! ^.^ It was my birthday yesterday, and I had some friends over, so I was kinda busy, lol... Plus I am completely tied up in this new fanfic I'm writing for PoT called "When I Come Back to You"... Wow, is that a sappy title, or what?? <inside joke> My sis was all, "Well, why don't you just name it BID TIME RETURN????" </inside joke> Lol. But it's really very interesting, and lots of fun for me to write. It's a story about all the Seigaku regulars that takes place five years after the last anime episode. The goal was to explore all the potential relationships in the series in a new way... Well, we'll see how well I succeed with that. Either way, my apologies for getting so swept up in the fanfic that I forgot to post my newest Seven Lines material. O_o I'll get on that right away... Oh, and good news! I finally have Dreamweaver on my dorm computer as well, and it works pretty good! So I'll be updating on week days as well. Wish me luck with all these projects, lol! 8/28/05 : Delays, college, other stupid things...

Mood: Pressured Music: "Dream Believer" from PoT Manga: Juvenile Orion vol. 3 Anime: Ep. 9 from PoT Ugh. Sorry for the lack of updates on my site, everyone! I just started college this past week, and things were CRAZY. Also, the new computer in my dorm is working great, but I don't have Dreamweaver on it yet. So currently I cannot update my site from my dorm. (I visit home on weekends, which is why I can update now.) I'll fix this problem asap, but the student version of Dreamweaver was out of stock last week so I couldn't do much about it. Still, at the very least, expect updates on weekends until this problem is solved. My college classes don't seem like they'll be impossibly hard, but they're certainly hard enough to keep me busy. So if during the school week things slow down here @ fsc, that's why. Many apologies, all! I'll do my best to keep this site growing!

I finally caved in and signed up for Brinkster's paid plan, which means FSC finally gets its own domain. I signed up for thesevenlines.com, because it sounded the coolest, lol. But fear not, all parts of FSC are going to remain intact, not just the PoT site. Anyway... CHANGE YOUR LINKS, EVERYONE!!! So if for about a week or so updates are lame, you'll know why... ^^; On another note... I am sick with a summer cold. Poor Taka; I kept him waiting for so long... ^^; The site also has an image gallery now. At long last. Anyhoo, I'm still working like mad on my web sites, mainly because my summer is almost over. And I have no idea how hard my college classes will be, so I'm preparing for the worst. By the way, I'm thinking of applying for a domain name. I've got an idea for the one I want... hmm... perhaps I can ask for it for a birthday gift? We'll see. Yes, I have yet another avatar. And it's true. I am. :P Which is why just about all my avatars blink or move in some way. Heh.

Especially since I can go back to updating my web sites now. Still, I'll be working as much as possible on some pics for DeviantART as well as new material for my web sites. ^_^ Hopefully this will mean some fun updates when I get back. The layout took me FOREVER to design, but I'm really happy with it. It's sort of techno-looking, at least a lot more so than my other sites.
