5/23/05 : I LIVE. No, really, I swear. xP

Mood: VERY HYPER! XD Music: "LIGHT" by w-inds Manga: Ouran High School Host Club vol. 6 Show: Ep. 7 of Ouran High School Host Club Ladies and gentlemen, my life is now complete. Or completely pathetic... whichever. xD I just spend an UNGODLY amount of my own cash on nothing more than... um... eye candy. But it's the RAREST of the RARE kind of eye candy, the kind that I thought up until today that I had no hope of seeing. Let me explain in full: Ever since I saw on the official Tenimyu site that Dream Live 3 was scheduled, I was wishing with all my sad little heart that I could get my hands on (or at least SEE) the photosets for Shirota Yuu and Katou Kazuki. (Yes, my obsession has reached frightening levels.) Of course, you can only buy them at the event, and hardly anyone sells theirs until months and months later, if even then for the popular photosets. Bidding on the original cast photosets that sometimes show up on eBay is psychotic. ^^; So imagine my astonishment when I found out that a member on the LJ comm for Tenimyu was offering to purchase them for us when she went to Dream Live. ... Then imagine my chagrin when I realized that, due to my crazy schedule this semester, I was late in finding out and discovered this mere hours after she stopped taking orders. This was all about two months ago, and words cannot describe my anguish. Finally, I decided just to hope that I'd see the scans. Unfortunately, this kind girl's scan comm, where she posts stuff that is impossible to get if you don't live in Japan, just closed due to too many people breaking the rules. Imagine my agony; it was painful. T.T Anyway, as of not even ONE HOUR AGO, she put some extras up on sale on the same comm!! I just had this funny feeling like I should stay up late tonight, and lo and behold, I was right! And now my friend and I are actually going to get our photosets, which in our wildest dreams we never thought would happen, plus a few extras that I decided to buy as well! ... The only thing is that there's no way I'm telling anyone what I spent on them. >.> It's... um... embarassing. In any case, my life is complete. :D I can die happy now. Though in related news... I should really be getting a job so I can justify all this anime-related spending. >.> Uh... yeah... I'll have to look into that. Unless my mom still wants to pay me for working on my favorite local theatre company's new musical with her. That might cover some of this. xD; Though I'm still NEVER telling what I paid for the photosets... Changing subjects, I AM working on my website! This is both good news and bad news, in my opinion. The good news is that the new layouts should be up in a matter of days. Unfortunately, it's taking longer than I had hoped. So the bad news is that even though I expected to be involved in LJ and ff.net and all my other favorite comms again by this time, I can't right now, because otherwise none of this will EVER get accomplished. So for anyone out there waiting for fics or even just to hear from me, I'm SO sorry! I'll be back in full-fledged action very soon! Promise! (In other squee-related news, I saw Les Mis TWICE this past week! *squeal* Ahhh, it was awesome! xD I'd forgotten how in love I am with that musical. It's the best ever! And Randall Keith, the actor who played Jean Valjean, was outstanding. Gaah, I love Les Mis... Plus for one night, I had the BEST SEAT in the whole gigantic theater! That's right, front row and center! xD) See all you visitors VERY soon, I hope!

4/16/05 : About Moving in Slow Motion XP;

Mood: All Over the Place... :/ Music: "Flower" from PoT OVA #1 Manga: Fruits Basket vol. 13 Show: Ep. 1 of Ouran High School Host Club So. We all know good intentions are what counts, right? XDDD; Right??? Yeah, well, whether or not that is the case, I apologize to all who may care for my Internet/anime fandom absence for these past few months. I don't quite know why, but this semester is more hectic than I first assumed. In any case, it's almost over, and VERY SOON these web sites will be going through some major changes. *points to new blog layout as example* Especially, of course, my baby, the PoT fansite. So keep an eye on The Seven Lines, everyone! In other news, I can type in Japanese on my computer now. So, just because I CAN... はじめまして。カトリナ・ベンダーです。どおぞ、よろしく。 So, I just introduced myself. In really poor Japanese. With only hiragana instead of proper kanji. XP *shoots herself* Oh, well, I'm only a first-year Japanese student, after all. XD;;; Though my Japanese class is one of the main reasons I'm so busy. *sighs* Ah, well, it's all good. After all, learning any language is fun, right? Well, I need to go work on these poor, dead websites, so I'm off! Perhaps I shall have more fangirly updates (and there is cause for MUCH in the way of fangirly updates! really!) when I am less pathetic. And less afraid of my sites becoming rotting carcasses in the alternate reality that is the Internet. xD Later, everyone!

3/2/06 : On Fandom, Doujinshi, TSL, and Why College Sometimes Sucks XD

Mood: Ambitious (I think...) Music: "Flaming Ice" by Kazuki Kato Manga: Host Club vol. 5 Anime: Loveless vol. 1 So. Are you wondering why I disappeared for about two weeks?? (Well, here @ TSL, longer than two weeks... O_o) Of course you are. Of course everyone wants to hear about my sad life. </pitiful attempt to garner sympathy> Well, long story short, I've been running around the past few weeks writing an honors paper and studying for a few tests. Anyway, no one cares, so let's move on to important things, shall we? XD First off, about The Seven Lines... It's alive and kicking! I swear! O_x *pokes her site with a stick* See, it moved! XD In all seriousness, though, TSL will have some significant updates asap. So keep your eyes peeled! I should be adding some new sections to my PoT site, and hopefully at some point I might even be able to update n.e.p.h.i.l.i.m. (I hope.) But I will definitely be updating the PoT site. So thank you to all TSL visitors these past few weeks! Oh, and I did want to mention... I've started collecting PoT doujinshi. XD Yes, I'm at a brand new level of fandom geekiness. So in the interest of spreading the fandom love, I will be adding a doujinshi section to TSL. It might only be a doujinshi review section at first, to conserve web space, but we'll see how it goes. I DO know that I won't be able to provide you people with English translations, seeing as how I just starting learning Japanese. >.> *is loser* But you'll get to see pretty pictures, right? Right??? XDDD In other news... I AM DYING OF ANTICIPATION. I ordered the Hyoutei Tenimyu DVD off of nippon-export.com in January, and they STILL haven't shipped it. O__O I'm starting to worry, actually. They haven't charged me, but... I WANT IT! Apparently the site is swamped with orders, though. I can only hope mine won't be lost in the shuffle. -_- Despite the DVD not having come, however, I am SO a Shirota Yuu (Tezuka in Hyouteimyu) and Kazuki Kato (Atobe) fangirl already. I bought Shirota's solo album off of YesAsia.com, and it ROCKS. The man can SING. <3 (Note that my avatar is based on a scan from said CD.) Oh, and my friend bought Kazuki's, and it's gorgeous too. She also bought his photo album. XD We both already have the Hyoutei Tenimyu soundtrack, but these albums were more than worth it. I was pleasantly surprised. *nods* Oh, yeah, my friends and I got to test drive our Prince of Tennis cosplay uniforms last weekend! We went to our local Japanese cultural festival in them. (Where we stuck out like sore thumbs. XD But hey, we weren't the ONLY cosplayers! Really!) All things considered, though, I'm way more excited to be going to Anime Expo this summer. Whoo! *dances* And my final piece of news? I SO WON A PoT CONTEST. Huzzah! XD I've finally broken my crappy contest track record for the past year. It was a Valentine's Day contest @ the tenipuri community on LiveJournal. I entered a Valentine's Inui Juice in the Creative Interpretation Category! XD My sis helped me a ton, and it was amazing. So, yeah. I'm happy. <3 <3 <3 Well, there's the big, long, useless update. But I should get cracking on TSL! *scurries off* Thanks for visiting my site, everyone! ^.^

1/22/06 : Yay, college! *sarcasm*

Mood: Halfway Between Busy and Bored Music: Go! Go! Meganes (PoT) Manga: Shojo Beat (February 2006 issue) Anime: Still the Hyoutei Arc (PoT) So. I'm back in my dorm for the brand new semester at college. Whoop-dee-doo. *does the happy dance of sarcasm* Actually, as far as college semesters go, this one won't be so bad. My classes look like they'll actually be interesting for a change (except for Chemistry, of course, but we expect nothing from the sciences! XD). Plus, I'm not doing quite as many hours as I was last semester. So if all goes well, I'll have more time to work on my web site and fanfics and all that jazz. *crosses fingers* Speaking of fanfics, I'm still trying to settle on a new project for my next story. I have several multi-chapter ideas, but I'm kind of hesitant to pick one. O_o Sorry to any of you out there waiting impatiently for a WICBY sequel! (That's probably... what? Three people? Lol! But I adore you all! XD *smothers her loving readers with hugs and glomping*) Anyway, I guess I'll make the official word be as follows... No huge projects until February at the earliest. In the meantime, I'll try my hand at some one-shots and maybe a smaller multi-chapter fic about Gakuto and Yuushi. (Yes, you heard me right! I adore the Naughty Pair, and so should you all. XD) In other news... This web site needs some new life breathed into it. >.> In that spirit, I'll be attempting to start up some new sections over @ TSL, so keep an eye out. I also have two other PoT bromides to add to the image gallery there. And as for my other sites, we'll see... O_o Man, it's been forever since I worked on my manga NEPHILIM. It's not like I've abandoned it by any means, but... Well, college sucks. Lol. On a final note, I saw the Disney Channel original movie "High School Musical." It's not like it's a work of genius... One glance at the premise could tell you that! But I found myself laughing over and over again at how they portrayed theater people. This is because I worked with them constantly in my high school's drama department... And I assure you, it's all true! XD And of course the music was the usual over-produced, pre-packaged, fluffy preteen pop, but it was fun to listen to anyway. 1/6/06 : On Losers (i.e. me) and Other Stuff No One Cares About XD

Mood: Busier Than a Crazed Chipmunk Music: "Baby Maybe" by w-inds Manga: High School Host Club vol. 4 Show: The Hyoutei Arc (PoT) Yes. That's right. I'm a LOSER. Why? Well, obviously because I haven't been updating my site nearly enough. *sighs* It's a long, pitiful story, full of things no one cares about, but here's a brief summary... > School sucks, but I passed. Final exams suck too, but hey, I aced them, so it's cool. Final papers also suck, but at least they're done. > Finishing a 25 chapter-long fanfic doesn't suck. It, did, however, devour all my non-existant free time. > Christmas rocks, as does getting to go to Disneyland. Unfortunately, these things mean frantic purchasing of gifts and being away from my computer. (i.e. Bllaaarrrghhhhh!) Well, you get the picture, so enough of that. :P No one cares, least of all me. The real point here is that I'm a loser, but I DID try. *weeps for her incompetence* On a brighter note, I got some seriously awesome things for Christmas. Here's a quick list... (Bear in mind I bought most of it for myself, since my parents don't care to shop for anime. So I asked for money instead! XD) - Echizen Ryoma's new CD 'Progress' (Which ROCKS.) - The 6th PoT Bromide set, which is now posted @ TSL. - Manga (Merupuri 3, Host Club 4, PoT 11, etc.) - 'System of Alive,' a w-inds CD (i.e. J-pop, and it's AMAZING.) - An Oishi hand puppet and an Oishi plushie! <3 - The world's cutest Sanrio purse (Sugarbunnies! How cute is that?) - A Tezuka/Captain Yamato key chain - Set of 50 PoT settai sketches (for drawing and such!) - The world's coolest boots from Hot Topic (for 50% off!!) - The Chronicles of Narnia and RENT soundtracks - Blah, blah, etc. etc. My sister also got the Hyoutei Tenimyu (PoT musical) CD, and it is THE COOLEST THING EVER. ... Good grief, I love Hyoutei. My friends and I are plotting on how to get the DVD, but hey, the CD rocks too. The guy who plays Atobe is a dream come true, and don't even get me started on Yuushi and Gakuto. *dies* Anyway, before I get too off-track, just let me say that TSL is alive and kicking, and it will be updated more frequently this upcoming semester. (I think.) I scheduled my classes much better this time, so I will be doing as much productive slacking-off online as possible. Hope you're all looking forward to that!
