THE CREATION OF TSL
The Seven Lines was created in March, 2005. Originally, my idea was to create a basic fansite for Tennis no Ohjisama, one where I could keep fan art and fanfiction and the like. I didn't plan for it to become its own domain, or for it to become an information site, for that matter. But as my love for the series grew, I couldn't help noticing that there were very few readily available information sites about the series. So, I decided to work on one myself, in hopes that I could inform at least a few potential PoT fans out there about the series. ^_^ The site was named after the 6th season opening of the anime, called "Shining." In that song, there's a line about "Let's get the seven lines!" which refers to the white lines on a tennis court. I liked the song, and I also liked the tennis reference... Hence, the site name.

Basically, this site's purpose is very straightforward. It is aimed solely at providing information and entertainment for PoT fans. This means that the emphasis of the site is on the information section, along with the 'extras,' like fan art, lj avatars, and that kind of thing. However, The Seven Lines also provides a limited selection of PoT media, such as anime screencaps and merchandise scans. These are intended for informative purposes only, though I will send large scans to those who want to make web graphics with them. My reason for this policy is simple: I want to promote this series, not provide some kind of substitute for it. I am a HUGE advocate of financially supporting the anime series that I love, and Prince of Tennis is no exception. That means that my only goal is to encourage others to get into the series, and buy some of the merchandise if they can afford it. If you are looking for download sites, I would recommend checking out the PoT Links section. But I would encourage you that, if you do visit these sites, you still consider purchasing PoT music/doujinshi/etc. for yourself. After all, this is one series where you will never regret it, at least in my humble opinion. ^_~
